  While there is a lower class I am in it. While there is a criminal element I am of it. While there is a soul in prison I am not free.

  Reviewed as one of Vonnegut’s greatest and most underrated novels, Hocus Pocus focuses on humanity in the 20th century. War, family, social structure, government, authority, relationships…all of it is condensed into this work. Most of his books discuss similar topics, and I highly recommend reading something by him if you have not yet done so. He’s clever, witty and all the while extremely intelligent. I wish I had the chance to meet him. He has made his way to the top of my [unofficial] list of admired authors.
